Born in Paris, France, Daniel S. Sorine received his education at Le Rosey and Institut Florimont in Switzerland and The School of Visual Arts in New York. 

Many of his photographs have appeared worldwide in leading journals such as LIFE, Time, Newsweek, The New York Times, TV Guide, Dancemagazine and Rolling Stone Magazine, as well as in advertising for major companies such as Sony, Du Pont and American Express.

Daniel has co-authored numerous books published by Random House, Ballantine Books, St. Martin’s Press, Crown Publishers and Abbeville Press with his wife, Stephanie, including the highly acclaimed "Dancershoes" published by Alfred A. Knopf. He is also the author of the novel “The Marigold Murders.” Daniel lives in Westchester County, New York.
